LODEVE

City of Art and History, quoted Gallo-Roman and stage point of the pilgrims of St Jacques de Compostelle, it is named in many ancient texts. Bishopric since the fourth century, the medieval village has continued to grow and has become the capital of the textile industry from the 18th to the 19th centuries. 

Medieval alleyways and bridges, the magnificent Gothic cathedral Saint Fulcran, the Town Hall (former episcopal palace of the 18th century), the Fleury hotel has become today the museum of Lodève (reopening July 07, 2018), the Hall Dardé , the Savonnerie carpet factory (property of the Ministry of Culture), old buildings, and mansions. Time for a walk, come back over the centuries ...
